Michael Lewkowicz is Director of Communications at Families Need Fathers in the UK. His career has included 25 years of commercial experience as in brand and retail marketing and innovation, and a decade in the charity sector at a UK disability charity and Families Need Fathers (FNF), a national shared parenting charity that provides support to separated parents and campaigns for better wellbeing outcomes for their children. Michael’s work and personal experiences have led him to conclude that reform of the family justice system is vital and an urgent public health issue. He has increasingly helped to shape FNF activities and relies on evidence and research, including some commissioning of some research, to help inform FNFs policies and campaigns. He works, on behalf of FNF, with different government departments and the judiciary and has recently been invited to participate on a government panel looking into the legal presumption of shared parenting in the context of a recent Ministry of Justice report on child protection and risk of harm in family courts.
