Full Abstract

Workshop Description The presentation will be an interactive experience where participants learn the definitions of Toxic Masculinity, Multi-Masculinities, Male Gender Role Strain, Male Gender Role Conflict and Male Gender Sensitive Intervention. Participants will understand the impact these masculine aspects have on the child custody process and their professional role. Overarching the training will be applying this knowledge to facilitate the best interest of the child.\ Learning Objectives Participants will have a working definition of Masculine Toxicity and understand its historical development. Participants will have a working definition of Multi-Masculinities and understand its historical development. Participants will have a working definition of Male Gender Role Strain and understand its historical development. Participants will have a working definition of Gender Role Conflict and understand its historical development. Participants will be able to identify how to create a Masculine Gender Sensitive process. Participants will develop interventions to assist a Masculine Toxic client. Participants will take into account these masculine concepts when developing custody plans. Participants will take into account these masculine concepts to support the best interest of the child(ren). Participants will understand their contribution to supporting and rejecting Masculine Toxicity and its impact on their professional role. Participants will understand the relationship between Multi-Masculinity and diversity.
